Our members benefit from a range of activities throughout the year.
Sunday River Paddle from Chiswick Pier
Regular Sunday paddle supervised by club coaches and departing from Chiswick Pier. These sessions typically last for 3-4 hours for a return journey and include a refreshment stop. Start times vary with the tide and we always check weather and river conditions before departing. We use our club Calendar to keep everyone updated.
Pool Sessions
Held on Wednesday evenings at the Phoenix Fitness Centre and Janet Adegoke Swimming Pool. These sessions offer a safe environment to practise techniques, refresh safety procedures, and rehearse capsize and recovery skills.
Pool sessions are attended at an additional cost and all members are asked to attend at least one pool session.
Special Trips
Throughout the year, we organise longer trips to explore new locations. These may include day paddles to Westminster or Richmond, and in past years have taken us as far as Kingston, Windsor, the Thames Forts and the Isle of Wight.
We also partner with other clubs and providers to offer white-water kayaking at Lee Valley and river trips in Wales and Devon.

Sea Kayaking
We offer sea kayak training on the Thames, along with open‑water trips for suitably experienced paddlers.
Night Paddles
Experience the atmosphere of the Thames after dark with our weekday evening night paddles, usually held during the summer to make the most of longer daylight hours and warm weather.
Independent Paddles
Members who have the appropriate skills and training can become ‘Independent Paddlers’ which allows them to hire and use club equipment to go paddling without a coach, in groups of two or more.
