Friday 15th August, a group of paddlers from Chiswick Pier Canoe Club joined Wight Expeditions for a round trip to the Second World War Thames estuary forts. Coaches Jane Wyndham Smith and Ian Bowdtich, from Thames Paddle-boarding, ran two ‘moving water skills development’ sessions.  Each session focused on how to read the water around weirs and practice effective paddling techniques on moving water.
